10 października 2022 po raz kolejny zawitali do Łodzi muzycy z Chicago. Tym razem był to zespół THE STEEPWATER BAND, grający w składzie;

Jeff Massey - lead guitar, lead vocal

Eric Saylors - lead guitar, backing vocals

Joe Bishop - bass guitar, backing vocals

Joe Winters - drums, percussion.

Blues-rockowy The Steepwater Band przeniósł nas w chicagowskie tradycje muzyczne lat 70. Pozostają wierni swym korzeniom - amerykańskiemu blues-rockowi, jednak we własnych kompozycjach zgrabnie przekładają owe tradycje na język współczesności.

Zespół powstał w Chicago, w 1998. Do tej pory wydali 11 albumów. Najnowsze to "Turn of the Wheel" z 2020, oraz "Re-Turn of the Wheel" z 2022. Materiał z tych albumów, a także kilka utworów bluesa tradycyjnego, zespół zaprezentował wczoraj w "Scenografii".

Usłyszeliśmy m.in. kompozycję tytułową - "Turn of the Wheel", czy utwór "Make It Right", który robi furorę w Internecie.

Koncert był absolutnie wyjątkowy. Nie obyło się, oczywiście, bez standing ovation, zaś niektórzy widzowie nie wytrzymali, i zerwali się do tańca.

Chicagowskie dźwięki na długo pozostaną w naszych sercach.

Organizatorem koncertu było Łódzkie Stowarzyszenie Muzyczne Ocalić od Zapomnienia, we współpracy z klubem "Scenografia" oraz Agencją Koncertową "Delta".

THE STEEPWATER BAND concert at the Scenografia club in Łódź

On October 10, 2022, musicians from Chicago once again visited Łódź. This time it was THE STEEPWATER BAND, playing in the line-up;

Blues-rock The Steepwater Band took us to the Chicago musical traditions of the 70s. They remain faithful to their roots - American blues-rock, but in their own compositions they neatly translate these traditions into the language of today.

The band was formed in Chicago in 1998. They have released 11 albums so far. The latest ones are "Turn of the Wheel" from 2020 and "Re-Turn of the Wheel" from 2022. The material from these albums, as well as some traditional blues songs, the band presented yesterday in "Scenography" club.

We heard, among others, the title composition - "Turn of the Wheel", or the song "Make It Right", which makes a sensation on the Internet.

The concert was absolutely unique. Of course, it was not possible without standing ovation, and some viewers could not stand it and they jumped up to dance.

Chicago sounds will stay in our hearts for a long time.
